Dr. Karwan is an Assistant Professor at Soran University and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Mental Health. He specializes in psycholinguistics, mental health, and clinical psychology, with a strong academic and research background in both education and humanitarian contexts. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Curriculum & Instruction from Southern Illinois University (USA) and a PhD in Psycholinguistics from Soran University. Dr. Karwan has made significant contributions to research in psycholinguistics, mental health, clinical psychology, and education. He also serves as an editor at the Passer Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Karwan is an MHPSS specialist and active researcher in humanitarian settings, focusing on the mental health needs of vulnerable populations. He is also a Board Member at You Belong NGO, where he works closely with refugee communities.
